It’s been pouring rain and windy this morning and it reminds me that it’s my favorite time of year, but I could do without the wind! One of my favorite memories from growing up is when I would have my birthday party at Lisa’s Tea Treasures which was located in an old Victorian house. I have started going to the new location over the last few years.
Lisa’s Tea Treasures specializes in serving afternoon tea for birthday parties, business meetings, or just an excuse to hang out with friends. It closed for a while and then reopened in different locations and now it’s the bottom story business with apartments above.
I recently went for my birthday celebration and it never disappoints. I’ve been a few times for my birthday and Mother’s Day over the years and it’s always something that I look forward to.
There are three tea rooms that are decorated in a Victorian style. You choose your meal and select a tea and you’re ready to settle in for a fun time! This time of year they have a specialized Christmas tea and meal as well as other options.

An example of one of their meals is a fresh scone with Devonshire cream and preserves, a petite savory which could be some sort of quiche. The tea sandwiches are egg salad, chicken tarragon, sun-dried tomato, pesto nut, and cucumber mint as well as something sweet from the dessert menu. There is also a gluten free meal.
For your beverage, you will have a choice of their many black teas, white, green, and oolong, or herbal. They also have hot cocoa, coffee, apple juice, or milk.
My favorite part of going to tea is the nostalgia I feel since I used to go as a kid. It’s fun because it combines old memories with new ones. It’s definitely the highlight of the holiday season.
