One Summer Can Change Everything

As we near the one-month mark to the premiere of Stranger Things season three, we’re learning more and more about the upcoming season, but the truth is we really won’t know everything until we see it first hand on July 4.

Let’s get it out there in the open, no one will be leaving the show. We all breathed a sigh of relief when we heard that news!

All of the characters that we have gotten to know and love over the last two seasons will return, with the exception of Bob Newby, but every diehard fan should know how he met his end in season two (RIP Bob, we miss you!). Winona Ryder will return as Joyce, and of course David Harbour as Chief Hopper. The kids; Noah Schnapp as Will, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas, Finn Wolfhard as Mike, and Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, as well as their older siblings and friends, Natalia Dyer who plays Nancy, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan and Joe Keery who plays Steve. The new characters that were introduced last season will be back as well; Sadie Sink as Max and Dacre Montgomery as Max’s older brother Billy.

Speaking of Dacre, he can be seen modeling some clothes from the new clothing line that was launched by H&M and Stranger Things with looks similar to clothes from the upcoming season! (Konbini) You can officially buy the clothes May 23.

Here’s what we can expect since season 2: another gap in time. One of the creators and writers of the show, Matt Duffer explained to the Hollywood Reporter, “even if we wanted to hop into the action faster, we couldn’t. Our kids are aging. We can only write and produce the show so fast. They’re going to be almost a year older by the time we start shooting Season 3…[so this] forces you to do a time jump.”

Season two was centered around Halloween and released on Netflix on October 27, 2017. We’ll be receiving all of the new episodes on July 4 much like the gang from Hawkins who will be celebrating 4thof July, but in the year 1985.

Based on recent videos from the Stranger Things Twitter account, showing us that Hawkins will be getting a new mall in town, as well as what we know from previous seasons involving demogorgons, we can only predict what could possibly go down at Starcourt Mall. We’ll all just have to wait until July. But then again…one summer can change everything.
